About Lets Go Private Jet

We are an independent Chicago private jet charter company — a brokerage, based in the Loop, arranging on-demand flights on aircraft operated by FAA Part 135 certificate holders. We have been doing it since 2014, mostly for people who fly the same three or four routes over and over and want the transaction to be boring.

The industry has a reputation problem, and it is largely deserved: opaque pricing, stock photography of aircraft nobody will board, and brokers who describe themselves in language that implies they own a fleet. We try to be the other thing.

What a broker is, and what we are not

A charter broker arranges flights. An air carrier operates them. The distinction is not pedantry — it is the legal architecture of the industry, and it determines who is responsible when weather closes a field at midnight.

Lets Go Private Jet is a charter broker, not a direct air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft. All flights we arrange are operated by properly licensed FAA Part 135 or Part 121 air carriers that hold operational control of the flight.

In practice this is an advantage for you. Because we do not own aircraft, we have no incentive to sell you the one sitting idle in our hangar. We shop your specific trip across the operators who have the right aircraft in the right place, and we will tell you when the answer is a scheduled first-class ticket.

How we work

One advisor owns your trip from first call to arrival. Quotes name the operator, the safety rating, the aircraft type and the tail number, and they are all-in: fuel, taxes, ramp, catering, crew and — in a Chicago winter — deicing. If a number is an estimate, it is labelled as an estimate.

We are staffed continuously, because aircraft go unserviceable at 2am and passengers change plans at 5am. The phone is answered by someone who can actually rebook a flight, not by an answering service taking a message.

  • Independent: we quote the market, not a fleet.
  • All-in pricing, with every line item explained on the cost guide.
  • Operator vetting on every trip — see safety.
  • No membership fees, no card deposits, no minimum spend.

Credentials and accountability

We publish a claim only when we can produce the paperwork behind it. Ask us for any of the following and you will get the document rather than a reassurance: the Part 135 certificate number of the operator flying you, that operator's current third-party audit status, the certificate of insurance with its liability limit, and our own errors-and-omissions cover as a broker.

That standard cuts both ways. If an operator's audit has lapsed, we say so and explain what we checked instead. If a tail is newly on a certificate, we tell you. The safety page sets out the five checks we run before any aircraft is offered to you, and what you should ask any broker who does not volunteer them.

Where to start on this site

If you are pricing a trip, the charter cost guide is the most complete pricing resource we have published. If you are choosing between aircraft, start at the aircraft guide. If you already know the route, find it under flights from Chicago, and if you want to talk to a person, contact us or request a quote.

Frequently asked questions

Do you own the aircraft you sell?

No. We are a broker, not an air carrier. Every flight we arrange is operated by an FAA Part 135 or Part 121 certificate holder that holds operational control, employs the crew and maintains the aircraft. We select that operator, vet it and manage the trip on your behalf.

How do you make money?

We are paid a margin on the trip, which is included in the quoted price. There is no separate membership fee, subscription or annual retainer. If you would like the margin broken out on a particular trip, ask and we will show you.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Quotes are free and carry no obligation. We would rather price ten trips and fly three than pressure anyone into a flight that does not make sense for them.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Chicago and specialise in the Midwest — Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa and Ohio — but we arrange flights nationwide and internationally. The destinations hub lists the cities we cover in depth.
